Which shift knobs screw on?

I've been looking around, but no one seems to talk about which knobs screw on. Can someone tell me a good knob that threads right on the stock shaft? Or maybe explain to me just how in the hell that stupid "allen nut" is supposed to secure the knob? Mine always comes loose.

Try these. They are relatively cheap and securely screw on. Downside to the GReddy counter-weight shift-knobs are they retain heat and cold too well depending on the weather.

You may want to check out the Pistol Grip shift knobs at Jegs. They take a little modifying but they feel way better than stock. Just depends on how much you have to spend. I bought my Tsi one for X-Mas.

He's not kidding. I have the GReddy counterweight nob and it will burn your skin off in the summer (literally) and is painfully cold in the winter. Choose wisely.

Well.... all the ones with threads instead of inserts. WTF I don't know where you'd go to get a complete list, but there is a massive thread about knobs.

A couple dabs of silicone seal will keep allen-headed setscrews and the inserts from coming loose, but will still be removable.
