red knobs??

there are 2 red knobs just inside the engine bay above the flip up lights on both sides of the car.. they are covered by a black cover i guess its called.. the car is a 1990 gs-t

They're to manually raise or lower the pop up headlights.

They are for adjusting the headlights

oh ok.. so i loosen and or tighten the red things to raise or lower lights by hand. correct?

No, please pay attention to the arrow on the top, you only spin them one way, clockwise
