which pistons and connecting rods to take

Wiseco/Eagle seems to be the most popular combo, but a search will deffinatly help you with any questions about it.

Uh...you need more info than that buddy, what are your goals? HP wise? What are you going to do with the car, DD, AutoX, Track? Can't just ask which one's are better. If you are looking for no more than 400hp your stock one's are perfectly fine.

currently I have the following mods:big 16 g ,rc 550 ,walbro 255,safc ,downpipe 3" ,catback 3" ,intake pipes, fimc,Metal Head Gasket,greddy type s,
Tubular Header,Tubular O2 Sensor Housings and boost contoller at 22 psi.

the problem is that probably I have fused .
having to change them I wanted to regenerate
the engine and to mount something of better.

You have fused? With those mods you won't even come close to maxing out the stock internals full potential. Unless you already blew it due to lack of tuning. But if you were to rebuild I would go with the Eagle/Ross or Wiseco combo that Slowboy offers. Great deal for the price and will handle a lot of power.

Yea, stock internals can handle a beating. My 6bolt was rebuilt about 15k ago w/1g rods and 2g pistons...175-180 across the board ;). As stated, it all depends on what your intentions are.

Ok...If you spun a rod bearing your crank might be junk as well. If you have it apart, take it to a machine shop to see if they can fix it by turning it .010". Not sure what that is metric... Then see if they can recondition the rod because odds are the bottom of the rod will be all blue if you have it apart that is. If they can or can't I would still get the Slowboy rod/piston combo with some new stock bearings if they can save the crank, depending on how much damage it did. If it did a lot of damage your best bet will be either to swap a new 6 or 7 bolt in.

Eagle rods are good. Either Wiseco or JE Pistons are also good. I have used Arias pistons before and wasn't impressed for the price. I would go with Wiseco or JE.

thanks of the councils, tomorrow I will know what is broken. Then I will decide what to make:rolleyes:

ok, the breach has been discovered. as I thought has melted one rod bearing.
the problem has been caused from the oil. the mechanic had put a terrible oil and I did not know it

fortunately the drive shaft has not received great damages .
in any case I have decided to regenerate the engine,
but ,I do not know if to mount pistons arias or je pistons whit eagle rods.

someone knows which is the best ones?
on the connecting rods eagle they say me to use therod bearings of the 1g 89 92, someone knows why?
thanks for all the councils .

You can go with either piston. They are rated about the same. I would go with JE though. And yes you are suppose to use 1g 6 bolt rod bearings from the 89-92 motors. It is the way they are machined to use those bearings.
