Ok in the next week or two im going to order a evo 3 big 16g off of turbochargers.com with the complete 2g solution. It comes wiht the turbo, install kit, and the manifold for $700. I was wondering if id be beter off getting a tubular header like this one from ebay,

Or should i keep the one that comes in the kit

http://www.turbochargers.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_30&products_id=186

Its ported and has a (EGT) plug which i eventually will use for an egt guage. Which one will i get more power from. And will it be worth it to buy the one off ebay and sell the one from the kit? or just keep the one from the kit.

The price on that kit is pretty good. I would recommend staying with the mani from the kit though. People have had some serious issues with tubular mani's bought off of ebay. If you do a lot of daily driving then a tubular mani can become more of an expense then you need. They are susceptible to cracking overtime due to having to hold the weight of the turbo up. Cast manifolds can flow very well and do not have this issue. Plus tubulars are meant to help with spool up times and with an evo III you dont necessarily need that as it spools almost instantly. As far as the turbo selection goes, EVOIII all the way. Its suprising to me that they even give you a choice. EvoIII flows more then the others mentioned and also weighs a bit less. So my opinion, stick with the mani and go evoIII. :thumb:

Ok thanks for the input, i didnt event hink about tubular ones cracking easer to. Also i dont think the tubular one will give m that much more hp than the ported one to, Thanks alot.

Stick with the cast manifold that they provide. You have no need to port it, because it's already hogged out.
I just hope that you didn't buy the Evo III "GT" turbo. Stick with the real MHI.
