i read this one vfaq and installed on this vacuum line that runs to the middle of my intake manifold, but i just read last night that i should tap in to a red dashed line on my throttle body. which one is the best to tap into?

There are two main places to tap in a boost gauge:

1. The 'P' outlet on the throttle body on the intake manifold (easiest)
2. The Fuel Pressure solenoid (best)

So you can really chose which one you want to tap into, make it easy for yourself or get more accurate readings ( even so I think the difference should be very small, haven't tried the different installations )

wheres the fuel pressure solenoid located?

Find your fuel pressure regulator, located at the driver's side end of your fuel rail. It should have a large hose and a small hose going to it. Follow the small hose until it reaches a black solenoid. That is your FPR solenoid.

how is it you fit that little plastic house over a t fitting for the rubber hose your getting a reading off? WTF

well guys in the process of seeing if my boost gauge was setup right i hooked a lip on the road and went into a ditch now i need a new front bumper and a new lower control arm cuz its bent in half and is pushing my wheel back in to the fender.so if any body is selling a fronot bumper for my car let me know cuz i need it asap. :barf:

find a junkyard near you. i'm more than positive you can find both of those things if you have no luck on here.

If you look closely at the hoses to the FP solenoid you note that one already has a coupler in it. If you remove it and put a tee in it's place you'll be all set.

Yes, make sure it's the line between the manifold and fps and not the one between the fps and fpr.

Tap on the line that goes from the FPR solenoid to the intake manifold. I had mine tapped into the t-body on that red-dotted "p" line and my reading wasn't as accurate. Here's a pic. NOTE: I moved my FPR solenoid onto the Intake manifold, yours should be on the firewall (unless you moved it).

On the 1G manifold, that line will go on the little nipple caught between the coil and the injector harness off the manifold.

ok, now im a little confused. i tapped into the one with the red arrow. i erased what i thought was the egr control line in the picture to make it just 2 lines going right there. the point was the 2 lines. i tapped into the one on the right. it goes to the top center of the intake manifold. the one to its left goes to the fuel rail. did i tap into the right one?
