I'm looking on ebay to replace my stock side-mount. I have a greddy type-s bov that I will keep instead of whatever bov that somes with the intercooler kit I buy and an upgraded stock turbo that does around 20-23 psi. Which of these do you think is the best product?

The first intercooler is a little small, the second kit is big, but the piping is sub-par, the third kit has better looking piping but you don't get to see the intercooler you will actually be getting, and the fourth kit looks the best and is actually descriptive but i don't like the curved end, its a little inefficient looking but I imagine it will be the best return for the money.

The first one for sure. its 28x10.5x3.5, it's from a good company (xs power), cheap, and the endtanks help with minimizing the number of pipes and couplers you use. The second one doesn't even look like its complete. The third one, lets just say don't buy anything if you can't see it. The last one just ignore it.

Do some reasearch: XS power specializes in headers for dsms XS Engineering makes intercooler kits. Don't get sucked into an ebay knock off of a quality product. They simply have the same ebay name.

Truth is, all those intercoolers have issues with quality. The first one is the best listed, but don't think its professionaly put together.

Do YOUR research. XS Power/SSautochrome makes very good FMIC kits, have one myself...

OK, too many XS power companies (I was thinking XS Power Inc.). Either way, you think the ebay special is from either XS power corp?

First intercooler is a little small? you're kidding right? The first one is the biggest out of all of them. They actually require you to remove the foglights in order to fit the intercooler..is HUGE. Look at my avatar, it takes up the whole space. I have the first intercooler on the link and is one of their popular ebay intercoolers.

I agree though, a lot of the XS power products suck but the only exception is their 2g XS FMIC kits, many 2g owners have them and they actually work great.

BURNED! :tease:

Thanks for those pointless reply's.

The XS power FMIC is a great product theres a big thread about it in the bolt on forum, might want to check that out.

Get the XS/SS Autochrome 2g FMIC kit. It cannot be beat for the price. Hell its a great product. Quality and proven by many owners here. Different setups from stock, 16gs, to 50 trims and bigger.

Check out the bible thread here. And check out the guide that GreddyGST wrote in the tech section.

ok, thanks. how much of a hp gain have you had with the xs power fmic? how hard is it to install?

You will have to pull the front bumper, cut a notch out of the radiator support, and...

Well how about I just give you the link?

Anyways, power will depend on other mods. Slapping it onto a stock car won't do a whole lot, but it is still better than the SMIC. I have been told not to expect big gains until I upgrade injectors, but everyone's set-up is different...

i think you should stay way from the fimc from ebay alot of people who buy these kits have to do alot of moding to the kits, i personally like slow boy racing fimcs but thats just my fav.

So you make a cut here an there....with the money you save over the SBR or AGP or Dejon kits..you could buy the tools for the modification, keep them and still have money left over. Heres my XS/SS Kit

Hey Matt, did you night shade your headlights?

Nahh I went to the fabric store and got this cloth like mesh in black and just pulled it tight around and secured it with the headlight clips and a small screw in the back frame here and there.

I only did it because some punk egg'd myhead lights under my car cover..Why? I dont know, needless to say I didnt get to it forawhile and it perminantly stained the headlights....they looked horrible, so I did that. I have new ones on there now and like those alittle better I think anyways haha

Nothing wrong with my projectors, I have stockers that are in bad shape. I didn't sell my SS kit, I was selling my friends SS kit. I'm very happy with my kit.

Also, my GST is back to stock form, going to sell it because I bought a GSX shell which will be my main car. I will post some info about all that later on, in the hangout section
