you think it would be a good choice to go with this o2 housing kit?

your talking about the SBR kit. Yeah that kit is nice, but I would give SBR a call just to find out about fitment. Because I wanted to go with the Evo3 housing and we found out that the down pipe didn't line up.

Whats the deal with the whole high flow CAT or test pipe thing. Should I get one or not? Some sites say this combo gets rid of the CAT, so does the piping go straight threw or should I be getting one of the options because some sites say I need one. Basically will I need to buy a high flow CAT or not?
BTW: a h.f. CAT would be my choice over a test pipe.

The apex downpipe is a cat elminator. So if you were to get the apex combo then you don't need your cat-converter.

well depends on if you want to keep a clean enviroment, but you could still get a highflow cat custom welded on if you wanted.... i think you should be ok as long as the piping is like a 3 in you cant go wrong because thats big enough for almost any cars needs.

VRS sucks, i had one on my car and it rattled so bad that when i would accelerate on the highway my whole car would shake, i would just go with the N1 if you wanted to save yourself a possible headache, HKS hi-power is good too.

My apexi gt downpipe lined up fine with a evo o2 housing.

The evo 3 o2 housing has a slight angle to it, causing it not to fit correctly and sometimes not at all. If you got it to fit without modifying the downpipe then you are probably putting alot of stress onto the flex section of the downpipe. See my attached link for details.

As far as the original posters question is concerned. I would go with the vrs. Why? Well I like to be different and everyother person that I know who has a dsm has that N1. Not saying its a bad thing but there are more fish in the sea.

i have a very nicely ported o2 housing for the 2g if ud like to get it off me just hit me up with a pm

Just get the Apex'i all the way back, on extremepsi they have the package deal with the 3" N1 downpipe and 3" catback i'd pick that up if i was you and its cheaper then the VRS, just get the Apex'i and call it a day, i had problems with my VRS and the shop did what they could and it still rattled really loud and under acceleration it shook the whole car.
