I have a 91 GSX 5 speed. I've noticed that on my car the exhaust just by the final bend before the muffler is welded on, is broken. The welding is broken probably a little more than halfway around the weld. Also it is a straight pipe back from the turbo to the muffler, and that's not exactly legal in TN anymore. Rather than have a cat welded in, and the muffler rewelded, I'd rather replace it with a brand new system, and actually know what system it is. So here's what I want. I am going to run a Evo 16g with I guess a ported Evo o2 housing rather than some fancy aftermarket thing I won't really need. Is there a 3" system that I can get for that, with a cat, and a nice Apexi N1 looking muffler? If you guys could give me some ideas I'd appreciate it. [email protected]

whats wrong w/ the apexi system i beileve when i was looking for exhaust that apexi made two system street, race and street has a cat built in it or the system starts after the cat as opposed to replacing the cat lke on the race version. thats what i would sujest i <3 the apexi on my car there is also a write up on exhausts if you would do a search for apexi exhaust.

Well I like the Apexi, but the catback is like $600 or something like that. I might go with the Buschur AWD 3" mandrel downpipe, a Buschur high flow cat (which I can swap out with a test pipe for after emissions testing), and a Buschur cat back.

i had the apexi turboback and didnt like it. right now i have stock exhaust on and am saving up for either a VRS or RNR...VRS being my favorite but its a good amount more $ than the RNR. whatever u do, dont get one with resonators, yes its a little quieter outside the car but its a lot louder inside the car cuz its a lot deeper.

Do you have to have a cat? I have Apex N1 3 inch turbo back and absolutely LOVE it. :talon:

Here's my suggestion: SS BR 3" DP, slip-fitted SS TP with SS BR clamps and SS 3" Thermal RD catback :thumb:
