which computer do i need?

ok ive got a 92 1.8L and i am looking at a new computer but how do i know if my car has california emissions or federal?

If you look at your fire wall right above the break booster you should see the emissions and fuel pressure control solenoids. If I remember correctly there will be 3 solenoids there if it's a Cali emissions car and only 2 if its fed emissions.

1.8' DSM's don't have those mentioned selenoids by the brake booster.

California DSM vehicles has the EGR temp sensor which is located by the EGR valve mounted on the back left (passenger) side of the INT manifold.

If the sensor is not there (or, even the EGR valve itself and just a blockoff plate is there in it's place), it's a Federal vehicle.
