I was wondering what brake pads do most people use? I am thinking about painting the calipers, so I think I am going to change the pads at the same time. Also, can you get decent pads at places like PepBoys, AutoZone, or AdvanceAuto? Thanks in advance.

First i will reccomend a search, there are a million posts on this topic. now i will make a personal reccomendation. I am using the AXXIS Metal Masters pads with powerslot rotors. and i love the setup. unfortunately i am only using them on the front currently and i can already notice a huge difference. I have many friends that all use the metal masters and like them alot. go to www.roadraceengineering.com , those guys are very friendly and very helpful.

good luck! but also do a search, because searching is much faster than waiting for people to reply to your post. and there are more posts on brake pads than you or i would know what to do with.:thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

I did do a seach for "which brake pads" and I couldn't find a thread that answered my question. I didnt spend two hours going through all the posts, but your response was quicker than all the searching I did before posting. Thanks for your response and now this thread will come up when other people search "which brake pads."

haha, ok. But next time you want to search, dont search for the questions, such as,"which brakes pads". Just search for the product, such as "Brake pads" or soemthing similar.:thumb: good luck though

I have powerslot rotors and hawk pads. I really like the hawk pads, but I think I will try metal masters next because of the massive positive response I have seen on these forums. Either way, the hawk pads are leaps and bounds beyond the stock pads.

I have the same front setup as greenmachine97, and the same pads in the rear with the AEM big rotors out back (couldn't put them up front because I still need my stock wheels for winter driving... :()

I love them. The work great. I just got them broken in about 3 days ago and the stop really well w/ no brake fade.:thumb:

I use Axxis with Brembo's, and I all I have to say is that it's smooth braking, shorter distance. I like them better then my Dad's Buick's brakes. I don't care for stock calipers I want something bigger to clamp down, like something from Rotora. I just feel like my stock calipers are lacking in a way.
