Where to mount the FMU?

I put my SFMU where my washer fluid tank went. Fits perfectly.

yes , "on the firewall is very descriptive" but I was looking for a bit more insite.

I see that folks have put it in the place of the washer fluid resivoir, but then were do you move the washer fluid too?

Im looking for ideas here..........I could move this and that , but.................

i replaced my washer tank with the fpr also
as far as washers
my carbon fiber hood didnt have nozzles anyway
but i put some on when i got tired of massive bug splatter and wired the former washer plug into the rear wash tank and ran a line under the car to the front

probably going to use the same line for water injection later on

so where did you put your washer tank after you moved it?

I wouldnt be able to do without it, im in ohio; the land of all 4 seasons in any given day. I admit, that seems to be the best place for the regulator but im wanting to plan ahead.

you must have a long hose then ehy?

Come on guys, surely someone has some clever place to put it. Come to think of it, I shaved my rear wiper and nozzle, but I left the resovoir. I could run a hose from it to the front nozzles. Of course I would need to keep the hose pretty short to maintain the pressure so I would have to take it straight through, drape it over the seats, drill a hole in the windsheild and run it that way.
Hmmmm.

I put mine back by the gas tank. I'd like to have it up front, but I'd have to run a lot of fuel lines. It tucks up really nice back by the FPR.

Isnt that kinda scary?
I dont have the math on it but I know you are going to loose some opressure in the vacuum line over the distance back to the fuel tank. I wouldnt expect the FMU to see the same amount of boost that the intake is with 8 foot of line, have you guys put a boost gauge on that line to see if you are getting accurate readings clear back there?

I guess the drop wouldnt be discernable if you used a really small diameter tube and made 100% sure all your connections were sound, but me personally I try to keep hoses as short as is possible. The more hose you have running all over creation the bigger the chance of a leak. At any rate, thanks for the idea thats one more option I have if things dont pan out the other way.

With that said, let me contradict myself and go back to my complete smart assed idea from earlier. The more I think about moving my washer resovoir the more I like the idea of using the rear one. Im going to string a 20 foot hose from the back resovoir to the nozzles in the hood to see if it holds decent pressure. If it works I will just use that and put my FMU where the existing wiper fluid sits. This may not help you guys that havent shaved your rear wiper, or didnt have one to begin with. Its crazy but it just might work!
