I'm converting a 95 Talon over to 97-99 Eclipse body pieces and have picked up a '97 GSX spoiler (the tall one). My question...Where is the spoiler located on the rear deck (i.e. how far in from the edges, etc.) Thanks!

yup, it's ok. but i dont see how that would help you one bit??? WTF Its not like it has the inch marks or anything which is probably what you need right?

You can look under the hatch and they will holes in the first layer of metal you can use as a guide.

i also would like to do the same thing but i don't want to go through that of aligning it right and covering the holes where the old wing is at. So i also have a question are the rear hatches from the eclipse and talon interchangeable if so how hard is it to change them?

Mechanically they are. But the electric part needs to be the same, rear wiper and defrost if you know what I mean.

How I did mine: Put the high rise spoiler flush with the end of the back edge (and as centered as you can), then move it in 2.5-3.0 inches. I forget what i did mine at exactly; but whatever looks best to you. And watch you dont drill through the support lifts like i did when drilling the holes.

I am in the process of doing mine. I am going to weld and then use body filler. I would strongly recommend having this professionally done. Its easy to mess up a deck lid. Especially if you weld it. You might find it cheaper/easier to swap the deck lids. They are interchangable from talon/eclipse according to the hollander parts system used at junk yards

The hatches are interchangeable between Talons and Eclipse's.
But depending to the year they have different latches.
So you might have to swap the latch form your old hatch.
I'm not sure what years have what.
But I have an early 95 and I have a 97 hatch, the latch was the same.
But I used to have a 98 hatch and the latch was longer than the OEM 95.
Here is a thread on filling the old spoiler holes.
It has pictures from the holes I filled on my car, but I used a two part epoxy to fill mine.
