Just as the title says, I'm trying to find throttle body shaft seals. I tried using the Home Depot Racing #7 O-Rings, but I still have the leak. I tried searching MotionIndustries, MachV, Chicago Rawhide, and a couple of other places. I went to NAPA and National Auto Parts, and they both told me they couldn't even find that the part existed. If anyone knows where a good place to get the seals (Chicago Rawhide, Part #CR3930) please let me know. (BTW, the only place I actually found them was MachV, but if you look at their website, you can see that they are back-ordered until Mid-August.)

SBR = No
DSS = No
Buschur Racing = No... This sucks...

Hey, Mr Wiseman... I was curious which hardware store you went to. If it's a big chain, hopefully I have one around here.

As for MachV, as I stated in my original post, they have them, I would love to get them from them, but I'm not waiting until Mid-August to get them.

I called a few more "local hardware stores" and they said either the number "doesn't exist" or its too new for them to list. I finally got a hold of Applied Industrial Technologies, and they said they could get them for me in a week, for just under $20. That sucks... Anyway, if anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to them. Otherwise, I'm ordering $.17 of rubber for $20 tomorrow. :toobad:

Using o-rings sucked. I tried that and they still leaked.

I tried all my local parts stores without luck. I did notice Advance Auto does list the Chicago Rawhide brand seals on there home page for $5 dollars each but they do NOT stock them in-store. It's internet buy and ship only. By the time you factor in shipping and handling you get raped.

So what I did was pick up my Yellow pages phone book and look up "industrial supply" for a shop that sold like hydraulics or custom made hoses for crap that was industrial related.

I found a local supplier of such items and asked if they sold oil seals. Yep sure enough did. I asked of they had any oil seals in the size 10x14x3 which they did not but the guy was like if they make them, we can get them.

He took my info and called me back an hour later with a price of $2.14 per seal, no minimum order. I ordered a few sets just to keep on hand.

I don’t understand why everyone says it’s so hard to find these seals. Any industrial supply shop or hydraulic shop will either have them or can order them cheaply. Just pick up your local yellow pages like I did or search the internet for “oil seals size 10x14x3 mm” and there you go.
