Where to find vacuum diagnosis?

I saw a list of diagnoses for vacuum pressure and i cant remember where i saw it .. it had soemthing to do with possible causes for the vacuum hovering at a certain number ... any help?

You really want to use a vacuum tester instead of a racer gauge (they're cheap, figure $12 from Sears):
