I've been looking around so many places online and i am unable to find myself a real evo 3 motor out of the 95 lancer evo 3's. i have decided this is the motor i am going to swap into my eclipse. Anyone that knows of a place with reasonable price, let me know i am definetly interested.

All crank-walk is, is a bad thrust bearing. Honda's spin bearings, so do other cars. Ours are just a little different symptom wise. Honda owners love to use crankwalk to insult us. I just remind them even if my crank does walk, it will walk across the finish line before they get there.

Besides, crankwalk is typically not accompanied by rod knocking.

well even better, so im just going to have my motor rebuilt with a manley h-beam rod/piston combo and see if i can pick up a 2g head with some 264/272 cams installed already since on my 2g head one of the exhaust mani bolts was broken and i tried removing it with a bolt remover and it snapped off inside of it and i am not sure if i damage the threads or what

Well man, one idea would be contact, DSM Graveyard. If your a running a 7 bolt Jon there can get you hooked up with Evo 9 pistons on 6 bolt rods to fit the 7 bolt. It's a very good combo, considering it make the motor a lil stronger. Give him a call and see what he can do. His number is 269-226-4463, I used to work there and out of all the motors he built. Never heard anything bad about them. Plus he put a 3 month warranty on his motors. So There's a better piece of pie also. Just giving you some Ideas.

Huh? I did not know this was possible.

Regardless, why do all of that work when the complete Evo VIII / IX rod and piston is a drop-in replacement for any 7-bolt owner?

I bought one of these motors from Pacific Motors in Atlanta GA a few years ago for $1300. put it in a 98 Spyder GST.

It's possible, he machines the crank part of the rods to fit inside the crank channels, this lets a 7 bolt run the 6 bolt rods which with a the Evo 9 pistons makes a very strong motor. I've seen some of his motors run and If i was gonna spend the money that would be it. I personally seen this setup as i had worked for him while we researched and developed it. Go to DSM Graveyard - Your #1 Source for DSM Parts! and read up or give them a call. Any race style motor that comes with a 3 month warranty knowing that it's gonna be ragged on. :hellyeah:
