Where to buy new tranny

Hey since I'm swapping the N/A 1g motor for the Cyclone, I'm going to swap transmissions too. Where would you reccomend I buy one? I want a 5spd manual. Should I buy rebuilt or a junkyard trans?

Jon at TRE has a few 1g fwd trannys for sale in his garage sale page. This would be perfect for you since you dont have one to send in as a core.

"94 FWD, $1200. TRE-spec reman'd transmission with 8% taller 5th gear & double synchro 2nd gear."

"90 FWD, $1050. TRE reman'd transmission, it's similar to the $950 rebuild but this is the whole transmission."

You could also use an awd transmission with a welded center diff. This would be alot stronger and possibly easier to find.
