so i want to buy an underdrive pulley for my 99 eclipse 420a. i really dont want to buy oneoff of ebay for 45 dollars. from what ive heard with these im better off spening the money. where can i purchase one?ive been told on howwel, but i cant seem to find it on the webpage. any suggestions?

Well last I heard, there is no longer a dedicated vendor that supplies these anymore. There is one in stock from Unorthodox Racing and they want $924.00 for it! No joke. Your best chances are sourcing one from another member and combing the classifieds.

There is a group buy going on right now over on 2GNT, this is a one-time deal though so you need to act quickly.

UDP group buy

I would recommend just keeping the stock pulley because the aluminum pulleys don't really dampen the vibrations from your engine like the stock ones do. I have one and regret buying it but couldn't get the stock one off so I had to, and now the thing sqweels on and off. But its up to you and what you want to do.

Did you buy a cheap knockoff or what? I've never heard anyone complain about this with a UDP. If something is squealing, there is obviously a conflicting issue, and I would say operator error in the installation, a belt is worn, or a pulley is getting worn on the AC or PS.

This is false on the 420A. The crank is internally balanced.

Tek's correct (cas check his profile. We get that crossover a lot on here). The 4g63 has an actual dampener.
