where is the trany temp sender?

my tranny temp light comes on immeately opon start up and the tranny is in limp mode...i ve tried to find the temp sender location on caps and in the back up manual with no luck....anybody know where it is? i know there is the n-s switch,the soloniod harness,the servo wire,and what i assume is a speed sensor(on the overdrive housing) on the tranny but no temp sender? im i missing it?this is probly the dumbest question i ve ever asked......i have the sneaking suspsion ive been staring it in the face?

The temp sensor is attached to the bottom of the valve body....u have to pop the pan to get to it.
