i am trying to find the stock boost gauge sensor, whenever i turn my key, not turning the engine on, my boost gauge reads full boost. so it think there is something wrong witht the sensor. i have an aftermarket boost gauge, but i want to know where the sensor for the stock one is located. thanks
i think it is called and MFI sensor, im guessing that means multi fuel injection?

My understanding as a NEWB is that there is no pressure sensor stock for our cars. At least the 2g for sure. The ecu calculates what it thinks boost is based on flow. For instance, once i forgot to plug in the mas and the boost gauge wouldn't move but my aftermarket boost gauge hit 10 psi.

So I don't know what the answer to your problem is.

boost on these cars is "guesstimated" by the ecu. It see's airflow and guesses the boost.
BTW, its MPI (multi port injection), not mfi.

so you guys are telling me it has something to do witht the ecu maybe being shorted out? or is it something else? the thing is, i think that this might connect to my other problem with the car, and that is when you try to accelerate it just like bogs or does not want to. but when you pulse the gas quickly it works becuase the bov is letting a lot of air out but way more then it use to, almost like it boosting a lot more. i have had my car sitting at my house for about 1-2 weeks now and i cannot figure this out. if you have anything at all plz mention it thanks for your information.

i have heard of ECU failures showing the symptoms of the stock boost gauge acting funny. A search on here might back that up.

my gauge acted funny when my ECU died... Give it a check and make sure there no black stuff or funny smells from you ECU.
