first of all: How many miles are on it? Did it have routing maitenance? Is it the origional
T-25 turbo? Are you throwing any CELs?

The problem could be multiple things. I would first start off by doing a boost leak test, check your T-25 for shaft play and possibly do a compression check then report back and tell us if you found anything unusual.

Good luck! :)

OK... the car has 71,000 miles or at least thats what the odometer shows. the car has a CEL i got that checked out and it ended bieng a simple thing... the car read irregulur pressure in the gas tank. :| that was me that put gas on with the car on i was in a rush besides that evrything looks good.. i dont have a boost guage i dont know if the stock one counts.. the stock one hits the last line so i soppose its good.. i mean my friend gsx hits the same spot on the line and his boost gauge reads 12 pounds?? i am getting one soon i already order one... and it has been 5 busines days.... :coy: anyway.. i havent gotten a boost leak check were do i get one??

You can make your own boost leak tester or just buy one. Here's a link to one that you can buy: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169435 If you get one without a gauge to check the psi then I recommend you waiting to do the leak test until after you get your boost gauge installed. You will be able to accurately tell how much boost is going through the system with your aftermarket gauge. The stock boost meter isn't very accurate, so I wouldn't depend on it much. Do a search for boost leak tester to get info on how to make one.

I agree.
The boost leak tester is very easy to make a well worth the few bucks to make it if you would
rather not buy it online. I believe VFAQ.com has a write up on how to make it.

yea i found out that you can definitely hit 12 pounds and still have a major boost leak, because the goal is to hit 12 pounds so if there is a boost leak somewhere the turbo will just work even harder to get you to that 12 pounds trying to overcome the leak.

If My Boost Guage Read 12 Pounds?? Is It Still Possible To Have A Boost Leak?

When you do the boost leak test listen for a hissing sound. If you can't really hear anything you can try putting your fingers next to the bolts/connections to feel for any air coming out. Your turbo may still be able to push 12psi, but like the previous poster said it'll be working harder to get to 12psi. For example, you read 12psi on the gauge, but your turbo may be pushing 14psi to compensate for the leak(s). You'll also be running rich.
