got silicone but no directions do I put it all the way in the boot where it hits the metal inside, or just around the black part(inside)

thanks :dsm:

on the inside where the metal connectors meet. This keeps them having a good non interruppted connection the entire time. The lubricant is like an extra conductor, like being in a body of water, and thats kinda like dropping a hair dryer in the bathtub.

Wrong.

Also use some anti-seaze on the spark plug threads going into the head, that shit works, I learned the hard way, i broke a plug clean off.

You want to avoid putting any on the rubber. Too much and you could actually end up grounding it out to your engine, which would obviously hinder proper spark. That metal piece connects to the plug and delivers spark. As was stated above, the goop aids this.

Wrong.

Waitaminute, what the hell? Silicone grease is a dielectric. It's a non-conductor. Its purpose is to keep out moisture, PREVENT spark leak, and keep the rubber from bonding to the porcelain. It goes around the lower rim of the boot and smears up inside along the porcelain. It's not for putting on the metal connectors.
