All of you with JDM engines in your cars, where did you get yours from?
I'm saving for one right now and want to deal with the best company(support, warranty and shipping cost).
Please share your experiences with me...PM me if they were bad.
Anything helps.

k, im way out of youre area but i thought i would chime in.
find someone locally is my advice, dont order one fo the net, becuase they'll ship whatever they want to ship to you.
i went with another local dsmer, and we sifted through like 15 engines at the local warehouse here.
finally found one that met all necessary conditions.
came with a tranny as well, which is good cause this thing was totally complete!
compression after we dropped it in was 155 across.
my advice, search the engine yourself, dont buy without seeing first, and dont get scared about a jdm, they can be very good engines

been there..thanks though

edit: I'd really like to find something local but i've been to every pick n pull yard within 35 miles and I found 3 n/t's and one 4g63t(it had 120 psi comp. across the board and they wanted a firm $1500-i walked)
There's only one performance shop here (Flyin' Miata)and one shop which I haven't spoken to yet which offers rebuilt engines and "Low Mileage Japanese Engines" ...they're probably my best bet

www.ebay.com

I got mine from a reputable dealer on there. The only problem I had, was the engine got stuck in customs for some reason (not the seller's fault at all), but other than that, it was all good :thumb:

If you choose this as your option, please make sure you do your research on the seller before you spend a thousand bucks on something you've never seen.
