So it seems that a lot of us have been having...issues, with our cars, but most of us are close to having them driveable soon if not already. Since the las meet in hunt valley ended up with most of us not making it, let's have a roll call on what status everyone's car is currently. Also since some of us work on Saturdays, how would a Sunday afternoon meet work for everyone? If we did it early enough, before sun down, we could get some pics. An idea since tuners and link are looking for calendar entry's for the 2013 Dsm calendars.
So post up if your car is drive able or what work it needs and sunday afternoon/ evenings work with your schedule.

ROLL CALL:
Gooberlog: battery arrived yesterday so car should be good shortly. Sunday's good for meet up/cruise
Roll Call:

Toyotaturbo: Red Alert 4G63 Corolla will be fixed and testing at Cecil County Dragway on Friday. We will not make it to the Fall Nationals at E-Town this weekend.
toubaby2: Wendy's Wings all wheel drive auto Talon will be fixed and testing at Cecil County Dragway on Friday. We will not make it to the Fall Nationals at E-Town this weekend. No matter what, we're World Cup bound!! We'll have the Corolla at the Shakedown at E-town Pro Mod race October 12-14 if testing goes well.

Well this car hasnt broke down since the turbo. The HG was my fault. Shoulda looked at the CAS before install. Dont consider it a break down...:) Still needs a new head though:( keeps overheating on long highway runs. Also I fianlly got a response back from Honeywell. After weeks of getting paper work filled out and redoing the SF86 twice and waiting for family members to get back to me for info and having to get finger printed for clearance. I start on Monday the 8th!!!!!!!!

Holy Fauck D1..That sucks man. I really want to know what the hell happened, but I'm sure you need to keep matters under wraps for legal reasons. If I can help, I will. I'm sure we all will.

ROLL CALL:

91 Talon TSI : Car is actually sitting for MIR parked from IREV.

I took the car out last weekend because I wanted to do some tuning with the race gas , and try out the NLTS. I have not had the chance to do any tuning besides the few times I've been at the track. The bottom line is the car is just to damn loud and aggressive to do pulls of 35psi +.. I have no where to do pulls without risking getting the car impounded and stripped or something, because the cops are DEEP in my area. It looks like the last race will be on the current settings and a prayer.. I will be installing the staging brake, changing the oil, and doing a few odds and ends before I go, but thats it. I'd like to end the season with "0" broken axels or t-cases of possible.

I think a number of us could use a T@T before WCF to work out the bugs and things dialed in. Maybe a Friday night T@T? Or I'm not against cruising on a Sunday to a meet that is CLOSE!! haha Not this Sunday though..Next Sunday I could make it..

I may be of some help. On one of the other sites im on there is talk of two possible track rentals. One at MIR and the other idk yet. both are 9am to 5pm rentals. The one at MIR may run at 103 via paypal due to not many signing up. The other so far only info is a possible Rental. Its a BMW group. Buddy in Korea is trying to get us in. If you want I can see if I can squeeze ## name into one of them if there is any more info.

Here is some info on the MIR one. The other still pending MIR Track Rental on 10/22/12 - SVTPerformance

## all welcome:) Good to be on many many sites:)

This would be really good for me but I have been missing too much time from work lately. Monday's are the busy work days as well. I was looking at the import vs. domestics race classes and my car doesnt really fit in to any of them so I would like to worry about hitting a test and tune more than racing at I vs. D

I feel the same way about any car that traps over 135 mph in the 1/4 mile. After driving my car around for the entire past weekend. I now realize, at a certian point, it's not worth street tunning or driving the car at all. Just take it to a shop, and put it on the dyno. Just take it to the track, and let it rip. When I left the gas station and 7 eleven on by Belair Rd, Police were giving me the evil eye. I just drove it as best as I could. The welded diff makes the tires sqeek, and the 4 inch exhaust is makes the car sound like a Mack truck. I'm seriously debating gutting the car and installing a full cage.

Doesnt fit in any class? 10.0, 10.5, 11.5, 12.5...pick one.:thumb:

I understand what you are saying though Travis. I'm actually in the same boat. If I run the 10.5 class, Im not going to be able to get any lower to that because my recent personal best is 10.501...haha So I think you are trying to get a new personal best right? Maybe smash the bolt on record? You can't get that if you enter the 11.5 class, and I can't get my new best if I enter the 10.5, so I understand. For me it's not about the money, that can come next season if I want once I know the car. For now it's all about seeing where the car is and getting things consistant, so i really don't care. I refuse to put my foot on the brake to advance to the next round. I did it at IREV and I still lost by a LOT..hahaha..

Think of it like this Travis.. You have at least 5 passes in any index class for the event, which you can use to blow the wheels off that thing. Then maybe slow up one or just use the best pass for the 10.5 and hope for the best. I'm gonna enter either the 10.5 more than likely and try to get a good qualifying pass the first two, then it's 40+ lbs for me... I gotta get closer to that 9.9 before the end of this year.

Yeah well said Adam. If everything turns out good this weekend and I can get car dialed in on point I would like to try to hit up Capitol for test and tune next Friday weather permitting. Depending on if I mak it to the test and tune or how many runs i get will determine if I race at I vs. D or not.

Took the car out yesterday and burned a few gallons of pump gas. Everything seems to be good, but after chasing the pump gas tune around for a while Matt and Adam reminded me that I never had a pump gas tune on my 1600 injectors. With that being said, while I maned the wheel of this classic Plymouth Matt dialed in a pretty drivable pump gas tune around 29psi. At this point I just need to use the rest of the 93 octane and put in the E85 and see if my existing E85 tune is close enough to race on. I would like to turn the boost to 35psi or higher so his means I'll have to install my map sensor cause my boost gauge maxes at 30.

I just checked the racing schedules for Capitol, 75&80 and MIR and there are not many test and tune days left to race in 2012. 75&80 closes after next weekend (one week from today). Both capitol and MIR close after 10/28/12 but the last test and tune for Capitol is 10/19. I know most of us plan to go to import vs. domestics to watch or race but other than that our racing days this year are numbered.

With that said, my goal is to make it to Capitol this friday night for test and tune. Anyone else want to race Friday at Capitol?

Man we build these cars to run them whether is drag or everyday driving. Drive ot with no regrets and let'r eat!!!!

Haha..If I break, I'm gonna come to you for the $ to fix it 3weeks before WCF. ;)
It's also a little difficult throwing four 26" slicks, tools, and jack in the car, open downpipe, all kind of holes in the firewall letting fumes in, driving with a shitty alternator, almost an hour each way, with high beams..LOL..
But with all that, yes I did build it to drive it.

Travis- What the hell..count me in. I'll bring the camera.
