when racing, after the launch (I slip from 3300 or so on decent tires), when you get up to your shift point, do you let off the gas or not?

Dont keep on the gas when shifting. Its not necessary, if your car is fast its just fast. And if its slow, not all the powershifting in the world is gonna help you.

no ones mentioned it, its aka Double clutching which is proven to have slower quarter mile times.

What ive witnessed to be good is staying a little below RPM of what you need to be in for next gear. Its tough to say, because it probably works somehwat kinda on the hondas mainly because if you gas while you shift you will be at higher RPM and then Vtec engages in the variable timing engines which is around like 5k .

UUUMMMMM NO. Double clutching is when an old tranny with no synchros is shifted. They have to push the clutch in twice so that the internals catch up with the rest of the drivetrain. Any tranny with synchros doesnt need to double clutch, no matter what Vin Diesel says. Although he is pretty convincing.:barf:

when powershifting you dont rev match you shift fast enough that the revs dont drop and then you are in the powerband of the next gear. if your rev matching it would seem you are loading up the car and droping the clutch  ps never never never never powershift an awd car cause obv the tires do not spin ...what up shock to the drive train :thumbdown

maybe a 3 stage has your stock rev limiter, a launch limiter, and a shiting limiter. but i thought the launch and shifting were the same.

I really wish I could get a TMO for my car.

shiting limiter <--
