When do you reach full boost?

I was wondering when people reached full boost on their turbos? When you respond, type in your turbo, psi, and housing size.

I've got a 14b ported to 7 cm and I don't get full boost in 2nd till about 5k. I know I should be getting 15 psi much earlier, and I did a boost leak test, and I had no significant leaks. Nothing showed until about 12 psi when I had a very slight leak on a vaccum hose to the intake manifold. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

I have a 14b with a 7cm housing thats ported and i have full boost by 2800rpm's.You need to check your wastegate flaper to see if its stuck open. You have 8.5 comp, you should spool that turbo up before 3000 check for cracks in the housing.and that is 16psi on pump on my turbo.

I hit full boost on a stock 1g with a cracked manifold and turbine housing at 3700

I got a Bastard 20G from slowboy with Tdo6 turbine hits 21 psi at 3600 :dsm:

To add a q to this thread.
When should a B16G ported w 34mm wg flapper hit full boost? I get 12-13 at 3000 and I hit full at 3800-4000 (19PSI).Did a leak test and found some small leaks that I fixed and now I have no significant ones that I can hear/see/find so...
Ideas or should I leave it as is?

I got FMIC,hard pipes, intake tube,3" exh. from turbo to tailpipes and all if you wonder about mods

euro - something is way wrong

I see 23 psi by around 4400 on an scm61. A 16g should have minimal lag ... I used to see 17 psi in the low 3s I want to say. It's been a long time since my 16g days, but I know the scm61 has a lot slower spool but even that will hit 17 psi in the 4000 - 4200 range.

Awesome, I'll be checking the flapper tomorrow. Does it matter that I have a 1g crankcase with the 7.8 compression? Would that increase boost lag or decrease it?

My 14b reaches full boost (10psi stock) at 4000k, and creeps to 15psi at 4500k. Nothing is ported. Can I get some help? I desperately want a faster spool.

Check for exhaust leaks, too. Go ahead and replace your head to manifold and manifold to turbo gaskets if you see any carbon deposits on your manifold heat sheild.

I believe a higher compression would help spool up a bit.

GT3257 -- I hit 22 psi by 3800-3900 rpms. I am sure I can get it to spool sooner once I get dsmlink, and get my cams dialed in better. That is on a very rough tune.

I used to spool the GT3255 with stock cams up around 3200-3300 rpms.....

Evo 3 16g at 18psi by 3100. And some of you guys are spooling way late. Once i had 1 nut back it self off from my exhaust manifold from the head and it definately started spool like 500 rpms later. Just somethin else for you to check.

Did you inspect the exhaust housing of the 14b before installing? It might be all cracked to hell.

PS yesterday I took off my heatsheild and found that the head on one of my turbo to manifold bolts had snapped off and the bolt backed itself all the way out...can't be good for spool
OMG

Today, i'll redo my LICP, check my exhaust manifold, check the exhaust housing, and check my flapper. I hope i find the culprit today.
