When do you need an upgraded tranny?

I know this guy who talks a lot about his M3. He says he's making so much power that he needs an upgraded tranny. My question is, when are you making enough power so that you know you need a new tranny. He says he knows he needs one because every gear is popping out when he floors it.

It depends on what car you have. I don't know anything about M3 trannies, but if he's popping out of gears, he just needs new synchros. Maybe they are the same ones from the factory and are just worn out. I don't know if I'd trust him though.

Yeah I don't trust him at all. I think he's full of sh*t. But i was just wondering, when do you know you'd need an upgraded tranny because of power; just on any car in general.

the fastest car in the world and thinks he knows everything about cars
and disses anything other than a muscle or an m3....
Dont worry one day when I get my
built engine going and get some more mods im going to race him
and ask him to tell me how small my taillights get when I pull off.

it's time to upgrade when you break something... just like everything else on your car...

if you want numbers dont expect much of yout stock trany after something like I GUESS 400-450hp
