Wheel/tire fitment question...Using spacers.

I have a sort of niche question I haven't been able to find the exact answer to.

My father surprised me with a set of 17x7 +45 wheels wrapped in 225/45r17 Potenza's, needless to say I was ecstatic, seeing as how I'm a poor college kid. The fitment however is not quite what I'd like it to be, they are sunk in from the fender like a bit more than I would like.

So here's my question: I'm not getting a new set of wheels, so I'm going to use good quality, hubcentric spacers, with extended studs to fix my fitment. I've read that +35 offset wheels will be pretty much flush with a 2gb fender.

What size spacers would you all reccommend me use for daily driving on a pretty well lowered car.

Also, I may step up to a 225/50r17 tire in the future.

The offset its not the only thing that will determine you wheels being flush with the fender, also your rim witdh, so the 7" doesn't help, but if you are gonna get hubcentric good quality Spacers, i recommend 15mm spacers for the look, ill never go over 10mm on mine though.

Right, if I were picking a new set of wheels I know I would need to take into consideration the total width of my wheels, as the offset is just from the center of the wheel, right? But seeing as how the width isn't changing, only the offset, I guess I'm looking for the best thickness spacer to get flush. Without running retarded camber.

Also if it helps: my rear fenders had the lips cut out of them by the PO, and my fronts are rolled.

I would avoid using wheel spacers if possible. Just order the right spaced wheels..

Spacers arent the end of the world. STM's 2g 7 bolt record talon used spacers and he broke records.

How much DD stress did that see again? Right.

10mm would be my limit as well.
