why do you need wheel spacers? bought the incorrect offset for your car?

I had them on my car in my gallery pics since then I have got the correct offset wheels. The thickness you need would depend on the offset of your wheels. I the pictures in my gallery I have on 5mm spacers.

Any side effects Gord?

Hey wider is better... :D . The wider and lower you can get your CG the more it will apprecaite you when you slam into a 90 degree corner at 20mph. Sam

The only side effects should be the studs not going as deep into the lugnuts as they used to. A few mm won't hurt, but be carefull.

I have 2" spacers on my other car.. no ill effects.

ive been waiting for mine from HRE since early july, so i would order them ASAP if you want them for next year LOL they are brutal with customer service

The one thing I would watch is with the plate style spacers you may need to get longer wheel studs. If you need more than 5mm spacers I would go with H&R or similar style that you bolt to you hub and they intern have a set of studs that your wheels bolt to.
To answer your question Nathan I never had any issues with the 5mm plate style spacers but I was always a little worried as the wheel studs were a little shorter than I would have liked if I had planned on using them long term I would have replaced the wheel studs with longer ones.

I have spacers on my wheels. I was told by a mechanic that did my alignment and balancing to make sure I get at least 5 FULL turns of the lug nuts. If I can get this, then i don't have to worry about getting longer lug-nuts.
