Wheel Hop like Engine Shaking

Sometime when taking off in first gear (when the engine at normal op temp). The engine shakes really bad like my tires are wheel hopping but their not. Any ideas y? I already change my clutch and pressure plate. I got no idea what it is.

When was the last time you changed your plugs and wires? That's where I'd start.

sounds like maybe clutch chatter. which would make sense, because you just changed your clutch. What kind of clutch did you use? and did you resurface your flywheel properly?

i have NGK Wire and plugs which havent been change since i bought the car 26,000 miles ago

I get this sometimes, I thought it was about how you take off in first. this is my first car with a manual and i put the clutch in myself about 9000 miles ago. In my car it all depends on where you release the clutch and how much gas your using.

Well no matter were i release the clutch from 1000-2000 rpm the engine shakes sometimes. But if I'm already in first gear (like when your slowing down from 20 mph) and get around 900 rpm and gas it the engine doesn't shake. Just when i take off from a complete stop.

Well, first off, the easiest possibility, is that your not slipping the clutch enough when you take off. You dont need to slip it much, because i believe that would wear down your clutch more than normal.
The second that i can think of is your engine mounts? this is just a guess, since someone i know broke an engine mount and it would only shake when he went in reverse i believe.

yeah i properly slip the clutch and yeah that the first thing i considered my mounts, i checked them and it seemed fine. The engine would shake going reverse and forward. Its weird tho when i just start up in the morning and warm it for 5 min in the morning it doesnt shake until about a hour of driving. I got to get this fixed it like a violent wheel hop when im going up a hill. :thumbdown

have any of you thought about taking the rpms up more when you shift? 1000-2000 rpms and my car will bog down, not only will it shake, its bad on the motor.

It doesnt shake between shifts just when taking off at first gear

Did you actually check your mounts or did you just look at them and say "good to go"? A lot of engine mount damage can't be seen while the mount is in the car.

I had the same problem, very minor, just enough to anoy me and purchased the $22 Energy Suspension mounts from RRE. Just the front and rear, not the entire set. That fixed my problem really fast. I recommend it.

my front and read mounts are blown, and it shakes really bad when i get to about 2500 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear. check the mounts thoroughly, good possibility it could be them.

Yeah your prob right i gotta recheck them. But y doesnt it shake till i drive the car for awhile? By any chance can it be crankwalk? mostly likely no right?!
