After installing a 5 speed tranny out of a 90 or 91 eclipse turbo car into my 92 laser non turbo car, I noticed that it sits within an 1/8 of an inch from the rail that runs from side to side with the rack and pinion steering in it. Are those rails any different from year to year within 90 to 92? Havent got it off from the jack stands yet. It will be ready to come down and be tested out tomorrow. Just thought I'de ask before I break something. Thanks

I've put a turbo tranny in a n/t, Althought it was an automatic to start with, but I haven't had any problems for the last 3 years. But to answer your question in the differences of the sub-frame, they are a little different, but I don't think that it will be a problem. Just make sure you pay attention, and listen to all the noises that you hear on your madin voyage.

Steve. ;)
