whats goin on guys...well I might pick up a 93 GSX tomorrow....

what do you guys think? says it has new headgasket/clutch.....

I think that it wouldnt be to difficult to replace the control arm and CV...I could be wrong....

what should I look out for with these? Ive heard DSMs can be real headaches....I dont want to get into a crappy ride if I coulda known what to look for specifically before hand...

Im out of a spec-v on the bottle and used to have a 96 H22 prelude on 6 psi so imports and racing is nothing new to me....I want to get back into it though. what do you guys think?

you should ask the person how many miles is on the motor. When was the last time the timing belt was replaced. If the timing belt snaps it will crack the head. Also does the tranny grind and is there shaft play. Hope it goes well.

If those mile are correct and its exactly how he says.Its a fair price.
As far as what to check? Take a look at the timing belt(replace it if he cant prove when it was replaced last.Unless it looks brand new)
Look at the oil and anti-freeze to see if anythings mixing.
Check tranny,x-case and rear end gear oil.Look for excessive metal.
Check transmission for grinds in all gears.Parked but started and moving.
Whatch for smoke out the exhaust.
Check the turbo to see if it spins freely and for excessive shaft play.
If you feel comfortable to a few wot pulls in all gears.
Besides that theres not much you can do unless you wanna do a compression check,leak down test or boost leak test

Looks like he hit more than a curb if im seeing right! front bumper bent in as well!! See if you can get a car history report to really see if it has been in any accidents that he might be "forgetting".
