whats fasta:93 civic cx hb w/ h22a engine or 93 eclipse gsx?

ok, my friend is getting a civic w/ a prelude engine (h22a) and he thinks it will smoke a 93 eclipse gsx. is this true?

my friend has a 92 hatch with a gs-r motor and tranny with just an ecu and v-afc...his honduh runs 12.4....bastard......

the weight on the edmunds site for the gsx is wrong. for the same year talon tsi, it lists the weight at 3108. the 2700-whatever is most likely for the gs-t

Last time I was at the track a guy had an h22 in a hatch and it only got him a 15.2 at 92mph. This was a bone stock motor. With better driving he could have pulled a 14.8 maybe but a 1st gen with some mods should hang a little. I'm just telling what I saw I don't know anything else about the car. I don't even know the year model but it was a newer looking hatch.

there is a guy around here that runs a civic hatch w/ intake exhaust plugs wires and a 75 shot of nitrous, on drag slicks he gets low 12's to high 11's at the track, i'm pretty sure at least

To set things straight why don't you have the owner of the hb pop his hood and look for the big VTEC on the valve cover. Second look for bolt ons/n2o/ etc. The h22a would kick your ass. Don't underestimate the 2.0 vtec in that light of a car.

last night me and my freind raced on at the local track and guess what i beat him. i won becuase he didnt hit third gear he hit 5th so i came up on him and won. but in a likly hood if he would of hit third he would have smoked me. so i got luky!!!

take into consideration that the rex is about 1000 lighter. if that is what your choices are just get the gsx. putting a h22a in a rex will require extensive work and will effect the way the car handles. You will spend more money to go slower with the honda
