whats this?

Ok guys, I need help identifying these two things. First one, i was changing out my battery the other day, and this little blue thing fell in, I didnt see it fall in, and i kind of drop the battery on it and broke it. What is it? What does it do? Do I need it? And where can I get another one? Second one, sits on the dash, and about three weeks ago it just didnt turn on, when it was on it use to have numbers going from .92 to .98 (I think) What is it for and do I need it? any help is appreciated. thanks.

Well the first thing is a fuse, like for a system or something, and that cable coming from it more than likely runs to the rear of the car. Have you tried following the cable and seeing where it goes? If it is for a system that is no longer there then you don't need it.

I have no idea what that is on your dash though. Maybe that fuse and cable go to it.

I have not followed where it goes to, since it seems to go into the inside of the car, all I know, is that it is connected to the positive side on the battery terminal

Yeah, it is a power wired for something. Maybe that funky thing on your dash. Take a peek under your dash and see where the wired enters the car and where it goes to. Did the car use to have a system in it?

Looks like a camera. Is it pointed in or out of the car?

I thought it looked like a camera too. Then I thought that was just a reflection of the camera he was using to take the pic with.

My friend put a camera facing in because he was constantly getting harassed by cops so he could film it.

Actually, that lens that you see is the reflection from my Evo, and I'm not sure if it use to have a system, besides the radio doesn't work, and as far as I can tell, I think the little box connects into the ecu, but I'm not sure, its a mess down there

If it is a camera it appears to facing the driver, not outside.

Well, you should track down your wires and see what you can find.

Ok, since the line won't be moving for a while, I decided if I might be able to find what that Jw thing was, and since rlacasse1 said it was some sort of fuse, I decided to Google it, I typed in raptor fuse and voila, and I guess it is for a sound system, but since my radio doesn't work, I won't worry about replacing it. I still don't know what that little black box is though
