whats this noise

Ok so i turned the car on today and i strange noise was coming from what i thought was the power steering pump like where the belt is on the right. There is a small chance it could be the alternator. I looked at other threads and all i could find was make sure the belt is tight i did. Anyone got nay ideas what this could be? Its a loud high pich like squel noise. It doesnt only last for liek 3 seconds either i let car run for 40 minutes and stil lwas doing but it was a little quiter.

buy some belt conditioner sp;ray @ auto store. it might go away

Make sure belts are really tight. Mine are new and made noise at start up or idle. Third time was the charm on getting them tight.

If after re-tightening and belt dressing the problem persists, It COULD be early signs of crank pulley separation. Have someone start the car while you observe the crank pulley and make sure it's not wobbly
