In my 1998 GST, every time I boost, I blow a lot of smoke out the back and I smell a lot of oil. The smoke is a white/grey color.

have you pulled your intake off yet to check out your turbo? check the condition of, and play of your turbo.have you run a compression test?

Yeah I had my turbo off a little while ago. Not too much shaft play. It's a 16G. I have a little oil leaking out my turbo. Could this be a problem?

So I am thinking one of two things. Either my HG is on its way out or my turbo is. Which one would make more sense? I just got in from driving again. There is actually smoke coming out every time I shift. It's not that much smoke coming out unless I step on it and hit boost and once I hit boost and let off the clutch, tons of smoke comes out and there is a terrible smell of something burning. What do you guys think?

i think DO A COMPRESSION TEST!!!

you have no idea how much easier that would make life... LOL... and getting a diagnosis of your problem.

are you venting your BOV to the atmosphere? or recirculating it?
