I just want to know whats the limited HP an eclipse can have, even one with a turbo kit installed?

what exactly do you mean limited power? Just look at some of the posts on here poeple have made upwards of 400whp on stock internals. Its all in the tunning you get done. You could slap on a 50 trim, cams, and a standalone and only make 10 hp or stock or you could mod right get some good tunning in and make 300hp+on a small 16g.

well if money wasnt an object i sure wouldnt have a dsm, but since i dont have a lot of money its fun seeing the looks on people's faces that did have money and still got beat by me, haha

WTF This isn't Gran Turismo.

are you talking stock block? what conditions do you want us to tell you the limit of, because if you say, what is the limit on hp an eclipse can have, and you have NO LIMIT on what you can do to it..... O I GET IT NOW, wait,... no i dont.....

I mean how much horsepower is necessary in the performance, even one with a turbocharger.

Please tell me english isn't your first language.

As everyone else has said horsepower is a matter of time and money. You can go from stock to 1000+ horsepower if you want to make the investment. On stock internals 400 horsepower is a realistic safe expectation. Of course all this has already been said in this thread...

I am curious as to what the current record for an Eclipse is. No tube chassis NHRA crap. Streetable.

Everybody has a different interpretation of streetable. 400+ whp is not uncommon on a stock block 1g. There is no "record" for a streetable car. Theres guys out there with 500-700whp that drive their cars on the street. Then theres guys like Shepherd, Rau, Glazar that have 1000+hp.
What the hell are you talking about when you say "with a turbo kit"? Our cars come stock with turbo's.

the way you are asking dont make much sense. be more specific. for example whats the most hp that can be attained from a t-25 with such and such mods. like someone up top said the sky is the limit if you have the money.

I believe he's trying to figure out fully built. that would be around 1000+. the most I've actually seen that was streetable was around 850-900. but all those were on 4g63 motors. if your talking about a 420a motor, some have gotten them to be around 400-600. I'm pretty sure someone has gotten alot more out than that. even if you do have a 4g63 then just set your range for 400hp, cause I doubt you'll get anywhere near 1000hp.

I believe the answer we're all looking for is the one right under all our noses... eleventy-billion.

It's a stupid question to ask, kid. Why not ask what the limit of cars can be on the Brooklyn Bridge (even with turbo kit)? You're doing it backwards. You determine what you want the car to do when you're done with it (called "setting goals") and then you build accordingly. People who drive the most powerful of any make/model of car do not ask what the upper limits are - they set those limits. Just chalk this one up to being one of those things that, if you have to ask about it, you're obviously not in a position to accomplish it.

Sadly, this post has "embarrassment to 420A community" written all over it. :(
