Whats the easiest way to test the tranny?

How can i test the tranny without driving/turning on the car?

You are going to have to be a little more specific than that. What kind of transmission? Test for what? Slipping? Grinding?

If you want a decent answer, you're going to have to spend a little time explaining your problem.

sorry for the vague question, its been a long day

its the stock 95 gs-t 5 speed tranny with 147k on it, i bought the car without the head and want to know if im going to have to replace/rebuild the tranny also
my buddy told me that if you can move the shifter a lot while its in gear its a sign that its bad
