What's the difference between these two Cardone computers?

One is federal emissions the other is california emissions.

Not too much demand for the Calif ECU being a lower price .... Still, 280 bucks for a rebuilt Federal ECU isn't too bad - like getting a new one.

No your car doesn't have the California EGR so you don't want the California ECU.

get the California one pop the cover and remove two resistors I believe it is. Itll put it into AWD Federal Emmisions.

so when you swap one of these out for another is it just a matter of plugging in the harnesses then turn the ignition or is there some prep?

Just to reduce any chances unbolt ## negative terminal wait a min or two then swap the ecu's out. Then reconnect and fire it up
