OK soIi seen a few people just selling the 20g turbo housing, Is this a way of upgrading the 16g? . This is kinda what I got out of reading the for sale add. Sorry for the dumb question

For one, you can build a hybrid 20g with some other modifications. That's on the compressor side.

For the turbine housings, there are large T3 housings that 20g's often use. So people sometimes sell those housings for others to use if they go with a different housing.

I'll assume you're talking about the turbine housing.

It depends on what you want to do, but an upgrade for a 16G? -Not really.
As you know, the term "20G" only describes the compressor wheel. A 16G compressor is already well matched to the TD05H turbine wheel and 7cm housing it comes with.

There are a few turbo variants with 20G compressors, the larger 8cm TD06H wheel Typhoon/Syclone housing or the Hahn 10cm TD05H wheel housings are probably what you're finding for sale. Only the Hahn housing would fit the exhaust wheel or even be bolt-on to your O2 housing.

If you have to ask such a question, you probably shouldn't be messing with your turbo at all. Not trying to be rude at all- there's just a target audience when such a part is being offered...most DSMers are not part of that equation.
