Toronto,
I can't seem to get a clear answer as to what compression they have.
My understanding is that it's lower than 2g just like in case earlier 1g motors.
If it is in fact lower, why is the piston part number the same starting 93-99.
That would indicate to me that if the compression is lower between 1gb and 2g, but the pistons are the same, that means that the rods between 1g, 1gb and 2g are all different.

The conclusion is this:
I am trying to put 2g pistons on my 7bolt 1g engine, in order to get the same compression as the 2g motors have. What should I get to accomplish this?

1G has 7:5 2G is 8:5
you will need to cut your 1G rod's down go to mech shop
