What Will Work?

I have a 97 GST and recently it started to leak gear oil. I wanted to go ahead and get me another tranny but Im having a really hard time finding a 2g 5spd tranny. I was wondering which transmissions will work in my car?

You will need to use the 2g tranny as it has 3 of the 4 motor mounts attached to it as the 1g tranny only has the tranny mount. Now, if you had a 1g, you would be able to use either one.

if you can go with out your car for awhile, send it off to get rebuilt, there are lots of options

ive heard that it has to be a 97-99 tranny and the 95-96 transmissions will not work, is this true?

should i see if i could get the holes welded or should i just buy another tranny? it shifts fine in all gears but i dont know how the holes got there?
