Just want to know what will perform better on my car,
goal: low 13 sec daily driver on pump gas(12.7-9 really my dream )

This is long term planning but i just need to know so i don't get a 16g and lose that money now

My car: 95 GST
Mods: tokico illuminas in front, 190lph, 3" turbo-back, UICP w/ 1g BOV

I know all about supporting mods

What will perform better:
Turbonetics manifold w/wastegate + T3/T4 50 trim .63 A/R
or
PTE bolt-on 50 trim .63 A/R

Please be specific with your opinion and why

ThanksS!

Yay, another X vs. X turbo thread!

You could easily hit low 13's with an Evo III 16G and slicks. Of course you'll need supporting mods, so don't even ask. Now I have to get out of here before defiant comes and closes this thing down like a brothel in Utah.

( I like Utah BTW, Moab :thumb: )

man this forum is really dissapointing, this is a specific question, not 16g vs big 16g, or what's the best street turbo, there are many factors hence the bolt-on part v.s full set-up, wastegate(internal and external) etc etc.

I really don't have much knowdledge and that's why i ask, i don't know what the deal is with this forum i only seek help.

P.S i want a daily driver with good tires and pump gas not slicks and whatnot.

You could run 12's all day on either one with just that turbo and no other ods on good gas.

The turbonetics manifold is significantly worse then a 2g manifold. Pretty though.

Please explain the turbonetics Manifold vs. Stock 2G manifold?

Why is it significantly worste? I'm guessing casting quility? but not possitive.

Reason for me asking is I just ordered the turbontics manifold and now you got me worried.

No, flow bench testing. Buschur tested them and the Turbonetics flowed worse then both the ported 1g and 2g exhuast manifolds.

Bullshit. Don't believe everything you read. Buschur also said the HKS manifold was a pile of shit.

Are we refering to the HKS T4 manifold?

Yessir, the same manifold that Shep uses.

From ####ing with that manifold, its obvious it can flow alot of air, but its direct center turbo placement makes it look like it would be extremely difficult to fab a downpipe for while retaining PS and the stock oil filter location. What exactly was BR refering too when he said it sucked?

No. They are not even going low 12's in a manner consistent enough to provide valuable modding advice to the typical tuner. my friend went 12.6 on a stock exhuast but that certainly does not mean anything pertaining to how a car should be modded.

You should go with the bolt on, either PTE or AGP.

I really like the way mine spools and it looks pretty good when it bolts on stock.

For 12's in a fwd the bolt on would be the way to go.

With the money you save buy something nice like some 660 injectors and a MAFT.

My bad, didn't mean to exagerrate. It' actually 11.842 @ 113.43 on stock 14b, no nitrous. That was on a FWD 1g.

what about a '95 gs-t w/ a 6bold swap

1g bov, boost controller, big 16g turbo, fmic w/ piping, intake, 3" o2 elim dp, 3" exhaut from the dp back, 190 fuel pump, 510cc injectors, lightened flywheel, act 2600 clutch, afc-II, shortshifter, p&p intake manifold & tb & 2g manifold (got a friend who owns a machine shop that can do it cheap).
