What trans fluid do you run?

From the input i have revived SPIII from mitsu is the only stable fluid to run in our transmission.

Wait I'm confused. You posted a link to redline ATF? Is your car auto or manual? I used 2 bottles of redline mt90 and half a bottle of light shockproof in the trans. Redline heavy shockproof in front transfer case and rear diff. I haven't found anything that works near as good

Is Amsoil Universal Synthetic ATF and the bottle of black LubeGard still the way to go? Ive been out of it for a while, having the end clutches replaced and need to know what fluid to put back in.

I used B&M trick shift with a quart of Lucas auto trans fluid when i had my auto. I stand behind that combo because i THRASHED my auto trans between brake boosts at 20psi, off roading fury and many hours of 1st gear rev limit donuts in fields haha, and i never once had it even so much as shift difficult.

From what I was told when I got my IPT trans is they use AMSoil universal ATF, but they said any major oil company oil should work as long as its synthetic and just to make sure it has a friction modifier in it.

I'm running castrol Synthetic atf

did you have to buy a +4 friction modifier?

DO NOT USE THE LUCAS IN YOUR TRANSMISSION! It leaves a nasty paste all over everything and can cause your valves to stick after time. It's the nastiest stuff on the market for any transmission. It should be outlawed.

I haven't had much luck with the synthetics, but I haven't tryed the redline or amsoil. BG is a definate NO.

I've been running the Valvoline semi-synthetic (red bottle) for years now and do recommend it. It seems to work very well with our transmissions and it's what I've put in over 100 after rebuilds with no issues.

My 2 cents.
