I was just wanting to know of any ideas of wat you guys do with the extra space below the cd player .. leaving it open just don't look right. I was thinking of making a little space back in to put things .. anybody have any ideas on how I could go about doing that or any other good ideas for that empty space? :talon:

I put a cover on mine and then placed doublsided velcro on it so I can stick my cd player remote on there.

i personally wanna put the turbo timer and boost controller there but seeing as ur a n/t that doesnt apply....u can get those plastic covers that come with most headunit installs pretty cheap and then jus cover up that hole.....mine is open rite now looks like someone jacked my ish :) search around here, im sure u can find a ton on what to put there

On my last visit to junkyard I found a factory "pocket" out of a 92 or later 1G for that area. Right now I have the factory radio, but I snatched it that day for future use. :thumb:

Your referring to the stock cubby/pocket that are used in the 1.8l dsm's. The 1.8's come with a single din radio and that pocket below it. i am in search of one of them pockets, i got a gaping hole that needs plugged. Them pockets are rare, and a bi*** to find.

Yep, that the one, it was a 1.8 L.

When I go back out there in the near future, I will look again. Seems this car had a "loose" one sitting in the interior. The one I took was attached to the factory bezal. I will keep you in mind if I see any more.

Would you happen to have an antena gromet for a stock factory spoiler? Maybe we could trade!!

;) :laser:

Sorry man, got rid of my 2 parts cars. I need to go to the junkyard soon for a friend upstate, maybe my luck will change and i'll find one. Is the gromet you need the rubber as a seal for the wiper through the spoiler or that plastic piece that does over the wiper surrounding it connecting to the spoiler?

i was in the same situation when i had my new stereo installed, they put a crappy plate over the gap but that didnt look good. So i went to my local Mitsubishi dealer and had them order me a factory pocket, then i installed it under the radio. Now i can put whatever in there, cd's, cell, change, etc... :thumb:

Not terribly original, but this is what I did:

i've got a 1.8 94 talon that had the radio in the top, and a tape player below it, so not ALL came that way.
