What to do to the 6 bolt before the swap

I'm gonna do the 6 bolt swap on a talon i got. I plan on changing all the gaskets, main and rod bearings, all the belts, new water pump, rings, and removing the balance shaft. What else do you guys recommend i change before or after the motor goes in? Should i follow the overhaul instructions in the Haynes manual? Says it'll take 2 weeks min.

the overhaul should be done with FSM, Haynes or Chiltons


You have to mod the block some because of using 2g parts on a 1g block.

I wanted to know if its harder or easier than the instructions look (in another thread) but all I get are search nazi's telling me to search through 100's of threads...
