I've recently had a bad run in with the business end of a snowplow truck resulting in damage to my door and rear panel. I'm hoping some of you appearance/paint gurus can help me out.
I've got a gash above my drivers side door handle, which goes to the end of the panel. It's deep enough to be a long dent, and needless to say is through the paint and primer.
The rear quarter panel behind the door has a quarter sized dent in it misshappen enough to have the paint flake off and show bare metal. The paint around the area is also still flaking.
How do I properly take care of this so it does not start rusting and paint will not continue to flake off of the rear panel? It has not started rusting as I can see yet and I would like to take care of it before it does. I was planning on using a couple layers of rust converter and then a few more of touch up paint on top of that. Any tips or ideas otherwise is appreciated.
