first off you dont know me and you have no idea what my car is capable of. sorry i didnt feel like listing the little things in my profile until the car is completly done. but if you must know its fully ported and polished the throttle body is bored and the cams, valves springs, and lifters are replaced....:D im just waiting now to get the turbo kit, fmic, pistons rings..and so on then i was gonna list everything....

happy now?

until i see a timeslip there's no possible way i'm gonna believe your car is running 15 flat with no power adders. you're full of it and i'm calling you out. you wanna know the only reason you'd try to pull this bs?...it's because you can hide behind your computer.

another thing, if you have a n/a dsm running 15 flat, i'm pretty sure you'd be a bit more "educated" if you know what i mean. this is just bs.....someone get that flag out.
 
I agree, most people just hide behind their computer. But he is also right, you don't know him or his car. And just so you know 1g nt's (2.0) can get into the high 14's and low 15's, and that is with out nos or a turbo. Right now my car dynoed at 195hp and 199ft/lbs, and last time I ran it a Moroso, was when it dynoed at 178hp and 183ft/lbs, and it ran (stripped down) a 14.8, and a 15.2 (unstripped), right now it should be good for 14.6 (stripped) and 14.9-15.0 (unstripped).

I hit 130 in the fifth gear with stock tires just the other day. I was pretty upset because I had the air conditioner on and didnt realize it till I was already slowing down. The crazy thing is it had a lot more in it but there in no telling what I would have hit if I had the air off. That pulls my car down a lot!! All I have is intake and exhaust but my car for some reason hangs with some of the best of them!!
 
I got mine to 135mph she still had power left but i lost my nerve plus there was a curve coming and i wasnt sure she could take it that fastOMG :cool:
 
Back when this thread was started, I posted that my car hit about 123mph...anymore, I hit 99-100 and my car is done - no more acceleration, nothing. It stays at about 4400 RPMS.

At that time, I had an intake and exhaust, and since then I've added a header, downpipe & 18" wheels w/Z-rated tires. I think I may have an exhaust leak from my header, but would that cause such a huge problem? Help please.
 
Do you NT people know why you seem to get little respect? It's because of people who claim that their stock NT's go faster than a stock GST. Kudos to the NT'ers who tell the truth. The ones that say that they've had their cars to 160+ because they have a filter upgrade are the ones who have caused the rest of the world to label you as ricers. If you own a stock NT and you claim to have beaten Vipers/C5's/gone 160+, then the label fits. Props to those of you who have a foot in reality. And to the guy who ran 14's with his NT, very impressive. He's the guy I'd be asking lots of questions of.

122 on the parkway, took awhile, but i got there - it had a little more but i didnt want to risk the $1000 ticket

Also 114 on the gwb lower level racing another eclipse - must've been a 420A cause i ripped him - that was pretty thrilling (if you know what the lower level on the gwb is like!)
 
i didn't want to write it out last time - by 420A i meant a 2g rs/gs - isn't saying 420A a lot easier? im sure everyone else understood it.

i understand that but you said it must have been a 420a because you ripped him but in a 99 gs you also have a 420a motor thats what i dont understand???
 
i meant it must've been a 420a instead of a 4g63 . I wasn't saying that i had a different engine - i meant we were racing generally at the same pace - had it have been a 4g63, i would've been terribly humbled.

eclipse96nt, how do you run 15.7@88 with an almost stock rs? im just curious how you can keep up with a car that is about 400 lbs lighter with 20 more hp? do you live at sea level with consistant 60 degree days or what, like espyder said thats almost as fast as a gst. but if you are that good of a driver you need a sponser.
 
115 racing a taurus(yes a TUARUS...gl i think) on the highway, had to slow down because we were coming up on a cop! The engine maybe could of pushed out 5 mor miles per hour but it would have taken about 5 more miles. I don't see how some of you got to 130 with out mods!
 
have any of you guys raced a taurus sho, those things are fast. i must say though, your cars can reach a much higher top speed than mine, ive had mine up to about a 122- 125 mph and its done, partially from the gears and there is no torque to push it anymore.

I have a friend that has a 93 5-speed SHO, and another friend with a 99 SHO. They are both pretty quick, but the 93 with the v6 is faster that the 99 with the quad cam v8. Has anyone seen the intake manifolds on those engines! They are about half the size of the engine! Anyways they are quick cars... too bad they are fords.
 
Don't really know how fast I was goin in my GS. Seemed to me that it was pretty quick though. I had four people in the car besides me. Ya, me and my fiancee' in the front and her three evil sisters in the back! who all go a good 350.....400 lbs. EACH!! N-E-WAY; I was goin down a deserted old road, damn, can't think of the name. OH YEAh... it was probably old Route 66. You might have heard of it. Once I passed that F-14 fighter jet I knew I was flyin then!!:rolleyes: Keep racing on a track where it belongs, all this highway-interstate B.S. is just gonna get people hurt, or killed.
