:cry: I've hit about 127 on the 5 south between Orange County and San Diego at 2:45 in the morning. For some reason my rear end flew out without warning, spun my car like 5 times and stopped in the middle of the freeway. Thank god it was late and the people behind me were either far back or avoided it. Screw the high speed test...I'd rather take it to the track from now on. I've already crashed two cars before from racing.
 
I was at 122 bone stock, but had to shut it down because of a state pig.....luckily i slowed down before he radared me:thumb:
 
I know this sounds stupid and i realize this now but i was going 110 +or-2mph through traffic weaving between lanes, pro kit springs and koni shocks handle excellent as those speeds :dsm:
 
guys, 110 and all that sounds right and all, but i know for a fact if you had more road to clear you will hit 143 easily, it's what i did with my car with a lot of road to clear. if you don't have much, then you would be stuck in that area 110 or below, but i know yall can top out more, so don't think higher speeds are 'unrealistic', it's easily possible unless your car is messed up in a way that it cannot go pass 110.

mine does that too, it got too 100 without a problem, but then it couldnt get passed it :confused:
 
i've hit 130 or so with no problem, but i didn't notice a limiter or anything. I may have it. Not EVERY car is exactly the same though, you now....

For instance, my 97 RS came with this stupid brake light 'safety' thing that mde my brake light on my wing blink 11 times and then stay on, whenever I pressed the brakes. I have YET to meet a DSM owner who had this. It was a factory thing too, so i duno...

Anyways, I ran a 15.9 in my RS the other night with only catback exhaust. My shifts and mph are as follows...

Launch @ 2800
1st gear - shift out @ 6900 - 0-40 or so
2nd gear - shift out @ 7100 - 40-64 or so
3rd gear - stay in - 64-87:)

but yea, thats the shifts I have had the best performance with.
 
i have a 93 n/t and i couldnt get more then 110 theni got cam gears and had it adjusted by a friends dad (knows his shiiite) and now i can get 130 140 easy

I've gotten mine up to 113mph but that was before new rims and tires.
 
i figured out in my car not to go past 74-7500 b/c fuel cut, i was passing some jack and i ddn't pay atention to the tach, i'm hoping to be around 140 top speed when i go turbo in the next year:thumb:

aNYWAY THE MOST I WENT WAS 136 mls/h AND COULD GO MORE,BUT WOULDNT GO OVER 145 FOR SURE MAY BE WILL STOP A 140.:(
 
I've gone 150 in my 2nd gen NT bolt-on eclipse, so w/e

u serious? im about to put on the AEM adjustable cam gears... i didnt think just a cam gear would improve it that much (other than perfect timing). but i have stage 3 cams about to b put in along w/ high pressure springs... so just maybe..

btw, mine hit 115 stock w/ 170k miles on it w/ worn down intake lobes on my cams and damaged piston and worn bearings... im going to have to say it will hit more w/ a rebuild and a few aftermarket pieces.
 
;) I have not maxed out my N/T, but have gotten up to 115 almost 120 that is stock engine, but w/ high flow cat. conv. and magnaflow exhaust with 16" supra rims and raceing tires.. Also I have cracked headers.. I know that puts down alot of performance, does anybody know how much performance that takes out?

I agree, I had a long stretch and the only reason it didnt go to 145 is because I got skurrred and let off the gas. Why would I bullshit? I'm not tryna look cool
 
it is hard to top out N/T eclipse cuz simple there are not that many roads that are open for such long run (expecialy if u live in a city)and safe from cops and other vehicles, so it is kinda hard to try it out.Im scare to drive somewhere on open road for like 5 min with speed over 140 mls/h.I mean wtf if cop see u,u gone and u ll not be able to drive in a while.
 
But if the pig if on the other side it won;t matter, and if he is on your side radr should pick up and if he does flah you would have a jump on running from him since he can't get up to nor could he go 140. Me and my friend were riding on the bypass i his dub(wrx) going about 90 and this kid with a dub from a local team flew by at 140 and let go of the wheel.....talk about being crazy
 
wtf are u talking dude,it is not a game it is real life but I gess u are too high most of the time to understend that (acording to ur replay,where i couldn't realy understend much).if u fly by a ####in cop or state trooper with 140 on a 65 speed limit zone u ll be gone,GOOOOOONNNEEEEE.

my first 1.8 was a 5-speed and i burried that needle (says i was going 145) i don't think i was actually going that fast becase most speedometers are not accurate past say like 100-120 but i assure you, i was passing people that were going 80 like ther weren't moving at all. the back end lifted up a bit and it was hard to control (felt unsafe) so i let off and slowed down gradually using the gas and the tranny.
my new 1.8 is older. it is a 91 and i have had it up to 135 or so. It's an auto. All i can say is what the speedo told me. :shhh: The revs were around 4000. To accellerate a little more they would go to 5000 or closer to redline before i got much drive... i am surprised to see all the low posts for top speeds (i.e. 120mph, 115mph maxed out) if you post one like that, you need more distance, and a heavier foot and to grow some balls... or lose your mind) these things will go faster than that. :cool:
