Both manifolds are out and the head is off. Car has been sitting out for a while since its taken me this long to find a replacement head.

So what should i do now that will be harder later when the engine is put back together?

Thanks for the help :thumb:

how much money do you have???

well you can port your intake manifold, and your head on both sides.....or you can get some cams, valves, springs, and retainers...i would just say #### it, pull the block out and start from the ground up :)

Well for sure buy new water pump, timing belt, head gasket, and tensioer. The with money left over get the head done up.

I have heard that cams arent that big of a performance gain, is this true? Or you telling me to do it for reliability purposes becuase i definatly want that.

ARP head studs if you plan on boosting big in the future. how does the bottom end look? maybe clean the carbon off the tops of the pistons. as long as its apart and not driving i would take out the balance shaft if it has not been taken out already.

bottom end looks solid. The head gasket looks a little corroded in one place...ive been putting oil in the cylinders every now and then so they should be good to go when the head comes.

Whats the best way to clean up the pistons/cylinder walls?
