what PSI for boost leak tests?

I've researched this, but i've only see people talk about having it at the pressure you're running. I think I'm going to be running 9 since the WG lines connected to the intercooler piping.

What pressure should I set the air compressor to? it'd seem like 9-30 psi is a little low for testing..what's recomended?

If your going to run 15 psi.Test at 20.Test at least at 5 over your desired boost level.

I usually shoot for around 30 psi, some people go for around 5 psi more than what you will be making. Either will work, just make sure to pressurize it to a higher psi than what you will be running.

30 would be great to test too..At least if you tested at 30 psi you would be able to fix most all leaks.

I test at least 10psi more than I intend to run.

I usually test 25psi and im running 15psi right now.

I tested mine at 2bar (30PSI) and I am running 20 psi right now.

I always do 20 psi or 10 more than I plan to run in a car which ever is higher. My old EVO I tested to 40, my Conquest will be tested to 20 since I will not be running more than 10 psi of boost on the stock 12a turbo.

while on the subject of BLT's, does it matter where exactly you are on timing? I was getting mixed ideas while reading earlier posts.

some say to line up the timing marks but I can't tell if its plus or minus some timing, for the valve overlap. Does it matter?
